One activity that is NOT included in the price of your stay here at Caribou Lodge, but one we get asked about all the time is flying in a small plane to get a close-up view of Denali! It is truly breathtaking, and definitely an awesome addition to your adventure here at the lodge.
We do not fly the planes, but we are in touch with the pilots and crew on a daily basis, so helping coordinate add-on scenic flights when guests are already flying to the lodge is very easy for us, and something we like to help with.
If you would like to contact the flight company directly that we work with for our clients check out their website here.

Denali (previously Mount McKinley) is the tallest peak in North America at 20,310 ft, and is actually the longest vertical rise in the world.
Another amazing fact about Denali is that the Great Gorge of Ruth Glacier is nearly 9,000 feet deep, making it deeper than the Grand Canyon. The Ruth Glacier is over 3,700 feet thick, and the walls of the Great Gorge rise up from there another 5,200 feet! Something you have to see from a plane to really appreciate!
